Parents guide the money learning.
Monty gives parents the structure and controls to help kids build money habits safely.
What parents control
- Family workspace
- Child profiles
- Allowance habits
- Goal review
- Lesson access
- Notifications

What kids see
Kids see a simple, age-appropriate view of their allowance, goals, progress, and lessons.
Why parent control matters
Money learning should be guided. Monty keeps parents involved without making every conversation feel heavy.
Parents can add adjustments when needed.
Parents can use adjustments to add or subtract money from a child's jar. Each adjustment should include a reason, so the child understands what happened and what they can learn from it.
- Bonus
- Deduction
- Purchase
- Correction
Questions parents ask
Who creates the Monty account?
Parents create and manage the Monty family workspace. Children do not need their own email address or account to participate.
Can parents manage more than one child?
Yes. The family workspace supports multiple child profiles, each with their own wallets, goals, and allowance settings.
Can kids change allowance settings?
No. Allowance amounts, schedules, and wallet splits are set by parents. Kids can see their balances and goals, but cannot change the underlying rules.
Can parents review goals?
Yes. Parents can review and approve goals before they become active. This creates a natural moment to talk about the goal, the cost, and how to reach it.
What does the child view include?
Kids can see their wallet balances, goal progress, recent transactions, and any lessons assigned to them. The view is simple and focused on the habits, not the admin.
