Money doesn’t only come from allowance
Real kids get real money from lots of places — birthdays, chores, gifts, one-off bonuses. A deposit records any of it, whenever it happens.
An amount, and where it came from
Every deposit records an amount. During Monty O’Clock it also gets a title and a category (Gift, Chore, Bonus, or Deposit); on the Deposit screen you can add an optional reason and note. That way “Chore: washed Dad’s car, +$8” can stay part of the story instead of disappearing into a balance.
Split by your kid, like allowance
Add a deposit whenever money arrives, or during Monty O’Clock. Either way, your kid decides how it splits across the Spend, Save, and Give jars, with your help — the same way they split their allowance.

What counts as a deposit?
Anything outside of regular allowance — birthday money, chore earnings, a gift, a bonus, or any other one-off amount a child receives.
Who adds a deposit?
A parent records it — during Monty O’Clock with a title and category, or on the Deposit screen with an optional reason and note — so the story behind the money can stay attached to it, not just the amount.
Who decides how a deposit is split?
Your kid does, with your help. Parents record the money and the child chooses how to split it across Spend, Save, and Give, just like their allowance.
Do deposits show up at Monty O’Clock?
Yes. Monty O’Clock starts with a short look back at the week’s money moments — deposits, allowance, purchases, and goal wins. A busy week shows only some of them, and every deposit stays in the child’s activity history.
Can a deposit be corrected if entered wrong?
There’s no edit button for a deposit, but a parent can make up the difference. If too little went in, add another deposit for the rest. If too much went in, add an adjustment tagged Correction to each jar it landed in, up to what that jar still holds. Each fix shows up as its own entry.
